Now taking new mandates

Does Siddwell lend money?

No. Siddwell does not lend money. It is not a lender, not a licensed loan broker, and not a business broker. On a financing, Siddwell advises the company and runs a process so lenders can compete. The lender makes the credit decision and advances the funds. Buyers buy companies. Lenders make loans.

What that leaves Siddwell doing

The work is two service lines: sell-side M&A and capital advisory. Sell-side M&A is the sale of a privately held company, a majority stake, or a division. Capital advisory is the raise: expansion, equipment, an acquisition, a shareholder buyout, or a refinancing. In both cases a banker owns the deal. Software does the research, the lists, the first drafts, and the document chasing. The calls, the negotiation, and the relationships stay with the banker.

A company that wants a single shop to originate the credit wants a lender. An SBA lender can be one party in a competitive raise when the deal fits. Meeting lenders through the SBA's Lender Match tool, with no advisor, is a reasonable choice when the company is prepared to run the comparison itself. Siddwell's role, when hired, is the comparison and the negotiation, not the credit.

What is not published

No deal count, client list, or testimonial is published, so none is offered as proof. No fee schedule is published either. The first conversation with the CEO costs nothing and is not a commitment. It is a read on whether there is a process worth running. If the company is not one the firm should take, that is the answer you should hear.

If what you need this week is a loan

A company that needs money this week has three public paths, and only one of them involves this firm. The first is the bank that already knows the company. The second is the SBA's Lender Match tool, which introduces participating lenders so you can apply with them. The third is a capital-advisory mandate: the case is written, more than one lender sees it, and the structure is negotiated. None of those paths ends with Siddwell wiring the purchase price. The firm does not have a credit box, a guaranty, or a loan product. If a conversation starts with 'can you fund this,' the accurate answer is no, and the useful next sentence is which of those three paths fits.

That limit is the same on a sale. Buyers pay the purchase price. If the buyer needs a loan to do it, the buyer's lender makes that loan. Siddwell can be hired to run the seller's process, or to advise on a financing once a company and a use of proceeds exist. It is not the party that advances funds, and it does not hold itself out as the party that will.

How Siddwell handles this

Siddwell is an AI-native investment bank for privately held US companies with $1M to $100M in revenue, doing sell-side M&A and capital advisory.

Siddwell advises. It does not advance the purchase price, guarantee a loan, or decide whether a lender's credit box fits. Any loan on a Siddwell mandate is made by a lender.
